Adding Armature
I did a demo of this on an old model first, once an armature is added, in edit mode the bone was extruded starting by working up the spine, once at the head, bones were exdruded from the shoulder region for the arms. I only rigged the upper body at first but the same process will be carried out on the lower section of the body. All bones should be nameed as working through and the arms should be set parent to the shoulder so only the arm moves when when you select the hand bone.

Texturing
The characters will be textured with photoshop textures, to do this i need to give the models
seams to make the areas easier to draw in detail, then the mesh needs to be selected, uv maping
mode is selected and the unwrap option is selected, this will give the mesh skin which can be exported as image and imported to photoshop.
The image below shows the skin of the first model I made.

Modelling
The model below is a character I modelled with no particular technique, it was built by
extruding individual faces. The model took about 15 hours in total.

The first model was so time consuming I decided to look into tutorials for quicker methods.
The model below only took about 8 hours and is a far simplar. The hair technique added to this model was done by grouping the mesh faces I wanted to have hair extruding from then once the particle effect was added to the face and the colour was set I went into particle mode and painted more hair on the model. Blender then hase a tool for cutting the hair and combing it. Some improvements need to me made, the character will have more accessories and the hair will be set thinner.
The next model is a was moddelled from a cube origionally, this was another tutorial.
The model below is a template body for a my final character, this is a very simple mesh,
it was modelled as a block figure then subsurfed and subdevided once, to get a more realistic
definition i used a proportional edit.

the body above will be a character inspired from the youtube video below, it will be a warewolf character who can change at will.
